Bachelor of Business Administration

This major is based on the conviction that all students, regardless of their career goals, need a broad introduction to the field of business and knowledge of the methods of analysis used for business decisions. The School of Business provides a variety of options designed to prepare students to take their place in the world of business. The program is accredited by the International Assembly for Collegiate Business Education.

About Our Business Administration Program

Our Bachelors in Business Administration Degree Program gives students the opportunity to develop critical thinking skills as well as problem solving skills. Business Administration prepares students for variety of careers by honing their oral and written communication skills throughout various courses.

Lake Erie College Business Administration Program has small class sizes that allow students to receive personalized attention from faculty and staff, as well as get hands on experience and unique networking connection. The small class size also allows students to complete project and team based schoolwork that is largely application based.

Business Administration Degree Careers

The curriculum incorporates educational experiences designed to accelerate the development of today's student to tomorrow's business leader through the intensive use of collaborative projects, case studies and internships. All programs offered by the School of Business offer excellent preparation for further study at the graduate level.

Students who study Business Administration can go into virtually any industry or specialize in any field. Because the business administration knowledge can be applied anywhere, it's easily transferrable based on the student's own interests.

Business Administration Degree Requires students to take 46 semester credits including:

  • BA 324 International Business (3 SH)

  • BA 400 Senior Seminar (4 SH)

  • EC 201 Principles of Macroeconomics (3 SH)

  • EC 202 Principles of Microeconomics (3 SH)

  • FN 320 Corporation Finance (3 SH)

  • CJ 315 Business Law I (3 SH)

  • MK 203 Marketing Principles (3 SH)

  • MK 217 Marketing Management (3 SH)

  • MN 200 Introduction to Management (3 SH)

  • MN 215 Business Statistics (3 SH)

  • MN 216 Applied Decision Models (3 SH)

  • MN 310 Operations Management (3 SH)

  • MN 323 Organizational Behavior (3 SH)

In addition, all students majoring in business administration are encouraged to take electives in international business, accounting, marketing and mathematics. Internships are strongly encouraged.
